Aftercare Policy

What happens after your appointment, how to reach Gemma if you are worried, and what to do out of hours.

Written Aftercare

You are given written aftercare for every treatment, covering what is normal, what to avoid, how long effects usually take to settle, and what would warrant getting in touch.

Verbal advice is given at the same time, and you are welcome to ask for it in writing again afterwards if you have mislaid it.

If You Are Worried

Contact the clinic directly on 07879 186494 or by WhatsApp. Do not wait for your review appointment if something is concerning you.

Gemma would far rather hear from you unnecessarily than find out about a problem late.

Out Of Hours And Emergencies

The clinic is not a 24-hour service. For anything urgent outside appointment hours, contact NHS 111.

For breathing difficulty, swelling of the mouth or throat, sudden severe pain, visual disturbance, or skin that is turning white or mottled, call 999 or attend A&E immediately and tell them what treatment you have had and when.

Reviews

A review is offered where the treatment warrants it, usually two to four weeks afterwards, so results can be assessed properly and any adjustment discussed.

Records

Any concern you raise after treatment is recorded in your notes along with the advice given, which is standard clinical practice and protects both of us.

Last reviewed August 2026. Policies are reviewed annually or sooner if practice changes.
