Chemical Peel

For dull, congested or uneven skin. It lifts away the damaged surface layer so what is underneath can show, with the strength picked to suit your skin rather than a one-size peel.

What A Chemical Peel Is

A peel uses a controlled solution to loosen the bonds between dead surface cells so they shed more readily, revealing fresher skin underneath and prompting renewal.

Peels come in a range of strengths, and choosing the right one matters more than choosing the strongest. Gemma assesses your skin type and history before deciding, which is exactly the sort of judgement a nurse is trained for.

They work well on congestion, uneven tone and early pigmentation, and are often used as part of a plan rather than as a one-off.

A Good Fit If

  • Uneven tone and pigmentation
  • Congestion and blocked pores
  • Rough or dull texture
  • Skin that needs a reset

Not The Right Choice If

  • Your skin is broken, irritated or infected
  • You cannot avoid sun exposure afterwards
  • You are unwilling to let peeling skin come away on its own

Your Appointment

Ask Her Anything. She Will Tell You Straight.

  • Will it hurt?
  • Will I bruise?
  • Will I still look like myself?

These are the three that come up most. You get real answers before anything comes out of a packet, and if the honest answer changes what you should have, she will say so.

  1. 01

    The Consultation

Your medical history, your skin and your goals, talked through properly. You will know what would help, and what would not, before you decide anything.

  2. 02

    The Treatment

The solution is applied and timed carefully, then neutralised, with the strength chosen for your skin.

  3. 03

    The Aftercare

Written aftercare to take home, and Gemma is a message away if anything comes up before your review.

  4. 04

    Ready When You Are

Book a consultation and Gemma will assess your skin properly, then tell you honestly what would help.

The Things People Actually Ask

Straight answers to what comes up most before someone books.

Not Sure If It Would Suit You?

Message her on WhatsApp. She answers them herself.

It depends on the strength. Lighter peels often cause no visible shedding at all, while stronger ones can cause flaking for a few days.

You will feel tingling or warmth during the treatment, which settles quickly. Stronger peels feel more intense.

Anywhere from none to several days of flaking depending on the peel. Gemma will tell you exactly what to expect before you book.

Yes, but timing matters. Leave at least two weeks before anything important so any shedding has finished.

Peels are avoided in pregnancy, over active infection, and with certain medications including some acne treatments. This is checked at consultation.

What Else To Consider

Other treatments worth knowing about, and the skincare that keeps the result going once you are home.

Skincare That Actually Suits Your Skin

Shop-bought skincare is weaker for a reason. The professional stuff works, but the wrong active on the wrong skin does more harm than none at all, so she picks it after seeing your skin and orders it in for you.
